집으로 돌아 오는 길에 준호와 명식이는 게임 방에 들렸다.
준호는 나에게 같이 가자고 졸른다.
나는 다음 다음 주에 중간 고사가 다가 온다고 준호에게 일깨워 주고는 겨우 빠질 수 있었다.
컴퓨터 게임은 흡연과 비슷하여 일단 빠져 들면,
헤쳐 나올 수 없다고 하신 아빠 말씀이 생각 난다.
그 어처구니 없는 게임을 벗어날 수 있어서 얼마나 다행이야?
빠져 나온 게 얼마나 다행인지 얼마 안 가서 알게 되었다. 왜?
엄마가 최고 솜씨로 피자를 만들어 놓고 기다리고 계셨기 때문이다.
그건 정말 환상적일 정도였다.
나는 엄마가 맛있는 피자를 만드실 수 있어서 자랑스럽다.
On the way back to home, Joon-Ho and Myung-Sik dropped in the game parlor.
Joon-Ho urged me to join them.
I reminded him of the mid-term exams coming up the week after next,
and I was narrowly excused.
I remember Dad saying computer games are something like tobacco smoking.
Once you get caught up, you can’t find your way out.
How happy I am to have been able to run away from those horrible games!
It was not long before I realized I did well to have excused myself.
Why? Mom was waiting for me with the best pizza she has ever made.
It was fantastic! I was proud of Mom who could make such a tasty pizza.
